RPG action with a retro pro wrestling theme

WrestleQuest is an ambitious role-playing game that draws inspiration from classic fantasy RPGs while focusing on the wacky world of professional wrestling. Players follow the intersecting storylines of wrestlers: Randy Santos and Brink Logan—two action figures that start off as rookie professional wrestlers.

As you go through their journey from novice to champion, you’ll be encountering legendary figures, like André the Giant, and enhancing their skill sets. With WrestleQuest’s turn-based combat system and retro-style graphics, it takes inspiration from games like the Dragon Quest series. If the mechanics pique your interest, go ahead and pick up this fun wrestling title.

Wrestle your way to the top

While most video games exploring this form of entertainment have focused on real-time combat that simulates what viewers see on television, WrestleQuest adopts a different approach, favoring pixel art, fantasy RPG-style gameplay, and turn-based combat—complete with HP and AP bars, a move list, as well as on-screen damage numbers. However, this type of combat system may not appeal to certain players.

The title features a combination of fictional and legendary real-life wrestlers. Among the iconic stars who will be recognizable to wrestling fans are “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, André the Giant, Road Warrior Hawk, and Road Warrior Animal. It also has a fascinating narrative that will take you to all sorts of locations.

Apart from turn-based wrestling matches, it also features other classic RPG-style game mechanics, such as exploration and dungeon crawling. Not to mention that some wrestlers will join your party along the way, allowing you to explore team compositions and character synergies. While it draws comparisons to the Fire Pro Wrestling World, the real comparison is with games like the Dragon Quest franchise, where it stacks up very well.

Multi-platform release

Another great aspect of WrestleQuest is that it is playable on different gaming platforms. Once released, it will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, PC, and even to Netflix subscribers.

A unique wrestling game

WrestleQuest is an engaging RPG set within the weird and wonderful world of professional wrestling where you can meet fictional and iconic real-life wrestlers. Its turn-based combat system is a nod to classic RPGs, and it is refreshing to see it in a wrestling title. While the game may have limited appeal to non-wrestling fans, there is plenty to keep wrestling fans entertained.

In Softonic we scan all the files hosted on our platform to assess and avoid any potential harm for your device. Our team performs checks each time a new file is uploaded and periodically reviews files to confirm or update their status. This comprehensive process allows us to set a status for any downloadable file as follows:

Clean

It’s extremely likely that this software program is clean.

What does this mean?

We have scanned the file and URLs associated with this software program in more than 50 of the world's leading antivirus services; no possible threat has been detected.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.

We’d like to highlight that from time to time, we may miss a potentially malicious software program. To continue promising you a malware-free catalog of programs and apps, our team has integrated a Report Software feature in every catalog page that loops your feedback back to us.
